Common Questions

DO YOU WARRANTY YOUR ITEMS?

Of course. JD’s Clubs is an authorized dealer for most all manufacurers, and all items will come with a full manufacturer’s warranty. If you ever have a problem with an item you purchased here, we are here to help! Customer Service is our top priority, as we very much appreciate your business.

HOW DO I COMBINE SHIPPING?

Use the shopping cart feature. Add as many items to your cart as you like, and it will merge them into a single order and provide a discounted shipping rate. Please note that purchases from jdsclubs.com cannot be merged with items bought on eBay.

WHERE'S MY ORDER? I CAN'T SEEM TO TRACK THE PACKAGE.

If you did not receive a tracking number or are struggling to follow your order in transit, please use our contact page or email us at jd@jdsclubs.com.

CAN YOU TIP SHAFTS TO MY SPECS BEFORE YOU SHIP THEM OUT?

Absolutely! JD’s is proud to have a full service custom shop. We can swap shafts, cut clubs to length, change grips, and much more. Just submit a note with your order specifying what custom work you would like done and a member of our team will follow up.

WHAT IS “PLAYING LENGTH”?

Playing length is the full length of the club, with the shaft installed. As an example, 45” playing length for a Titleist driver would equate to a 44” shaft. Once the shaft was installed, the club would play at 45”.

DO YOU HAVE DISCOUNT CODES I CAN USE?

We run specials and promotions and discounts frequently! Like us on Facebook or join our email list. Your information is never rented or resold to third parties. It’s just for us to tell you all about the sweet brands and products we are proud to sell.

CAN I CALL OR EMAIL TO GET A RECOMMENDATION ON A SHAFT?

Absolutely. We will be happy to help with any questions you have. Feel free to use your contact page, and we will recommend the best shaft based on your swing data.

WHAT IS TORQUE?

The term “torque” is taken to mean the shaft’s designed resistance to twisting during the downswing. The torque value is expressed in degrees, so the lower the degrees of torque, the more resistance the shaft will have to being twisted from the force of the downswing on the clubhead attached to that shaft. The higher the degrees of torque, the less resistance the shaft will have to being twisted by the mass of the clubhead on the downswing.

WHAT IS KICK POINT?

When you swing your club, the shaft bends or “loads” to store power. It then straightens or “unloads” to release that power and help create clubhead speed. The flex point, also referred to as the kick point, is the spot on the shaft where most of that bending takes place. In most cases, a “High” kick point shaft will produce a lower launch and spin. The opposite is the case with a “Low” kick point shaft.

HOW SOON WILL MY ORDER SHIP AFTER PLACING AN ORDER?

In most cases, the order will ship the following day (1 day handling time to build and ship). On a rare occasion, an item is on back order through the manufacturer. If this is the case, we will contact you with an ETA. Feel free to call or email if you’d like to confirm before placing the order.

HOW LIGHT SHOULD I GO IN A DRIVER SHAFT?

In most all cases, going with a lighter shaft will produce more clubhead speed which results in more distance. As a fitter, I recommend going with the lightest shaft you can control. Every player has a “breaking point”, where the shaft is too light, and control becomes an issue. In almost all cases, a heavier shaft will help a player with control, but has the potential to slow clubhead speed.

WHY ARE SOME SHAFTS SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS?

When it comes to shafts, price is dictated by the materials that are used in the shaft. Some materials (graphite and carbon fiber) are much more expensive than others. Typically the lighter/stronger materials are more expensive. When you purchase a “higher-end”, more expensive shaft, it is going to be made with better materials. Also, there is less resin (glue to hold the fibers together), which results in a more consistent shaft with better feel.
